IT services and custom software for Middelburg businesses.
Specified IT Solutions is based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. We work with the operational and technical problems that come with running a business in an industrial town — legacy databases holding compliance records nobody wants to touch, quoting and scheduling processes built around spreadsheets, and systems from different vendors that were never meant to talk to each other.
Middelburg's economy runs on steel, mining and the contractor, logistics and engineering supply chain that feeds them. That kind of operation tends to accumulate exactly the technical debt we work on: an Access database that's become load-bearing, a compliance process tracked in Excel because nothing else fit, three systems that all hold a version of the same customer.
What we work on most in this area
The work we take on most often here is database design and migration, systems integration, and the custom internal software that a generic off-the-shelf product was never going to fit — see the full service list for what else is on offer.
